John A. Fraser became a member of the Group Executive Board in 2002 and was appointed as Chairman & CEO of the Global Asset Management Business Group in late 2001.
Prior to that, he was President and COO of UBS Asset Management and Head of Asia Pacific. From 1994 to 1998 he was Executive Chairman and CEO of SBC Australia Funds Management Ltd. Before joining UBS, Mr. Fraser held various positions at the Australian Treasury, including two international postings to Washington DC first, at the International Monetary Fund and, second, as Minister (Economic) at the Australian Embassy. From 1990 to 1993 he was Deputy Secretary (Economic) of the Australian Treasury. Mr. Fraser graduated from Monash University in Australia in 1972 and holds a first class honors degree in economics. He was born 1951. He is an Australian citizen. |
