Jack has dedicated almost his entire career to the practice of mineral law. He has worked on virtually every aspect of oil and gas law. He has prepared abstracts, rendered title opinions, drafted contracts and litigated. He has practiced regulatory law representing clients before the Louisiana Conservation Commission, the State Mineral Board, Department of Environmental Quality, Security Exchange Commission and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. Jack was appointed Special Counsel to the Sewerage and Water Board where he served for twelve (12) years. He represented the Board in every phase of its operations including defending rate increases, personal injury and property damage claims and working on resolving environmental issues. Jack has been active in many professional and industry organizations including the Petroleum Landman�s Association of New Orleans, the Independent Petroleum Association of America, the Louisiana Oil & Gas Association, the Mineral Law Section of the Louisiana Bar Association and the Louisiana State Mineral Law Institute where he has delivered several papers on oil and gas issues. |
