Mr. Meyer brought an impressive range of experiences to Acxiom beginning in 2008 as chief executive officer and president. Prior to Acxiom, he served as president of the Alcatel-Lucent Services Group, where he was responsible for more than $6 billion in annual revenue and the management of more than 20,000 people. The group he led designed, implemented and managed some of the most sophisticated communications networks in the world. After joining Lucent in 2003, Mr. Meyer was a driving force for change in the business, optimizing delivery processes and re-aligning the sales force in support of the corporate strategy to become a value-added solutions provider. His efforts restored growth and profitability to the segments of the business he managed. Prior to Lucent, Mr. Meyer spent nearly 20 years at Electronic Data Systems, Inc. (EDS), where he held several high-profile positions including running the Northeast business in the United States and as President of the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. During his four years running Europe, he increased revenue from $3.6 billion to $7.2 billion. Mr. Meyer holds a Master of Business Administration degree in quantitative methods from the University of Missouri and a Bachelor of Science degree in management from Pennsylvania State University. He also served in the U.S. Air Force from 1979 to 1983 as a flight commander, achieving the rank of captain. |
