Schofield has been a director of IDT since 2001. He is president, CEO and chairman of the board of Advanced Fibre Communications, Inc., a leading supplier of next-generation edge access equipment and multi-service broadband solutions for the telecommunications industry.
Since becoming Advanced Fibre Communications' president and chief executive officer in 1999, Schofield has built an organization and management team focused on achieving sustained revenue growth, while also overseeing the development of true end-to-end communications solutions, especially those for delivering voice, video and high-speed Internet services over a single network infrastructure. Before joining AFC, he was president of the Integrated Solutions Group of ADC Telecommunications, Inc., where had also held the position of senior vice president. Prior to that, he gained management experience at Telex Communications, Inc., Memorex Telex Corporation and Raytheon Data Systems.
Schofield holds a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from NSW Institute of Technology in Sydney, Australia. |
