For more than 20 years John Wentzell has worked within the sports and facility management industries. Currently, Wentzell serves as President, Delaware North Companies-Boston and TD Banknorth Garden. In that capacity Wentzell oversees all of the day-to-day operating functions of the premier facility.
Prior to joining Delaware North and FleetCenter management, Wentzell served as Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer of the Philadelphia Phantoms. The American Hockey League team plays at the First Union Spectrum, which is owned by the Philadelphia Flyers and parent Comcast-Spectacor.
Wentzell has managed and developed sales and marketing efforts for the Providence Civic Center and Philadelphia Civic Center. He has also served as General Manager and Chief Operating Officer of the Centrum in Worcester, Massachusetts; the Greater Ft. Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center; and the Providence Civic Center.
Wentzell is a graduate of Otterbein College in Westerville, OH. He also earned a master's degree in Sport and Facility Management from the University of Massachusetts. He and his wife Anne have two children and reside in Shrewsbury, MA. |
