Mr. Eckstein focuses upon the representation of emerging and middle market technology-oriented companies and venture capital funds, investors, investment bankers, financial advisors, and financial institutions. He provides advice regarding finance and corporate governance matters to boards of directors. He has represented governmental entities in complex financing transactions. He is particularly interested in the application of technology to sustainable business and is actively involved in legal and public policy aspects of biomedical, information technologies and IT/software. Mr. Eckstein was chair of the Colorado Advanced Technology Institute, a member of advisory committees to the Colorado Securities Commissioner and on technology issues to Governors Owens and Romer, chair of the Colorado Biotechnology-Medical Technology Roundtable, and president of the Colorado chapter of the Federal Bar Association and the Denver chapter of the Licensing Executives Society. He speaks on securities, financing, and technology to legal and business groups. Mr. Eckstein has been listed in Who's Who in American Law, Colorado Super Lawyers, and Who's Who in High Tech in Denver/Boulder. Mr. Eckstein is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, ODK, and Phi Delta Phi. He is on the board of the Catholic Lawyers Guild and is chair of the Professionalism Committees of the Denver and Colorado Bar Associations. He also serves on boards dealing with Colorado education and economic development. Born in Iowa City, Iowa, Mr. Eckstein enjoys golf, skiing, malted beverages, and family activities. He is on the board of directors of the Foundation of Sacred Art and was on the boards of The Spirituals Project, the "World Beer Cup" and the "Great American Beer Festival." |
