John B. Miles is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the Firm�s Orange County office. As a member of the Firm�s Corporate Department , John practices primarily in the areas of corporate and corporate finance and related transactional work. For more than 25 years, he has represented public and private corporate clients in all aspects of acquisitions and dispositions, debt and equity financings, and other corporate transactions. John was the chairman of the Venture Capital Committee of UCI�s ACCELERATE Technology Small Business Development Center.
John served as an officer in the Army. While in law school, he was editor-in-chief of the Rutgers Law Journal.
John has served as a director of a California chartered bank, a publicly-held bank holding company, a publicly-held real estate syndication company, numerous privately-held corporations and as a member of McDermott�s Management Committee. Currently, he is a member of the board of directors of American Vanguard Corporation (NYSE: AVD). As a board member, he serves on the audit committee.
