Mr. La Liberte is a Partner of the firm in the Litigation Department and Chair of the Creditor�s Rights Practice Group. He concentrates in business litigation, complex commercial disputes, product liability litigation, commercial landlord/tenant disputes, environmental litigation, and securities litigation. In addition, he also has successfully arbitrated and mediated numerous cases.
Mr. La Liberte represents a broad spectrum of clients in bankruptcy related matters, including corporate reorganizations, automatic stay relief proceedings, preference and dischargeability proceedings, commercial leasehold renegotiations, and assumption or rejection proceedings.
Mr. La Liberte also represents clients such as banks, brokerage firms, insurance companies, credit unions, state transportation authorities, professional and business partnerships, computer software companies and automobile and medical device manufacturers in a wide variety of areas. These include securities litigation, software license agreement negotiations and litigation, regulatory matters, real estate litigation, employment discrimination/wrongful termination matters, insurance coverage disputes, product liability matters, and premises liability cases in both federal and state courts.
Mr. La Liberte received his B.A. in 1986 from Boston College and his J.D., cum laude, in 1989 from Suffolk University School of Law, where he was the Production Editor of the Suffolk University Law Review. He is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and New Hampshire and before the U.S. District Courts for the Districts of Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
Mr. La Liberte serves as Vice-Chairman of the Town of Carlisle Planning Board. |
