Description of Practice:
One of the founding members of the firm, John is Operating Partner of the San Francisco office and heads both the firm's recruiting and marketing programs. His practice focuses on real estate development, acquisition, finance, and joint ventures, and he provides expert counsel for a diverse range of clients including developers, insurance companies, financial institutions, and private investors. John offers expertise in financial restructuring for real estate developments, and he has successfully negotiated all the complex issues associated with major real estate projects in the residential and commercial arenas. He has broad experience working with cities, counties, governmental agencies, homeowner associations, and public groups that affect the development of a range of projects.
He is the past President of the Orange County Chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Parks and a member of the Urban Land Institute. He has been recognized annually by Southern California Super Lawyers in real estate. In addition to his professional affiliations, John is involved in a number of community activities. He is involved with the University of California Irvine Law School Initiative and with the Stanford University Major Gifts Campaign. John is a member of State Bar of California, and various County Bar Associations.
Educational History:
He received his B.A. from Stanford University in 1967 and his J.D. with honors from Loyola University of Los Angeles Law School in 1971. |
