John was appointed President and CEO of Torrent Energy Corporation in January 2006 and he has been a Director since June 2004. John was appointed a Director of Methane Energy Corp. and Cascadia Energy Corp. in January 2006. He started his career in 1977 as an Engineer with Amoco Canada. From 1978 to 1981, he was the manager in charge of Project Engineering with Consolidated Natural Gas Company. Between 1981 and 1983 John was the supervisor of gas contracts for Canadian Western Natural Gas Ltd. John joined Sproule Associates Ltd. (reservoir engineering company) as a Senior Petroleum Engineer in 1984 and was employed by them for sixteen years until 2000. During the years 2001 to 2003 he held the position of General Manager, and then President, of Samson Oil and Gas Inc. Most recently John was a Director and President of Pacific Rodera Energy Inc.
John received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Calgary in 1977 and is a Registered Professional Engineer (APPEGA). |
