John Orr is the Product Development Manager for the company's Northern Region, based in the Boise, Idaho area. John joined AMVAC in 2004 after 20 years with Syngenta Crop Protection, Inc., most recently as a Research and Development Scientist. While at Syngenta he held numerous technical service and R&D positions. Prior to Syngenta, John worked for BASF Corp. for 12 years in R & D, technical services and sales so he brings a wealth of technical research and practical agricultural experience to the company. John is responsible for field research and development of the company's line of products used on potatoes, turf, and various fruit and vegetable crops across the northern tier of states extending from the Pacific Ocean to the Great Lakes. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Agriculture from Murray State University (Kentucky) and a Master of Science degree in Agronomy/Weed Science from the University of Arkansas. |
