John Boyd joined FluidIQs (formerly Control Manufacturing Company) in 2003 as a Senior Project Manager and has recently taken the position, Director of Software Engineering. John intends to place FluidIQs at the forefront of software development in expertise, quality, and efficiency. John expects to do this by reducing the cost of software development through implementing modular programming standards.
John brings with him 23 years of knowledge in the management, design, and integration of control systems related to process automation. His experience includes Project Management, Software Engineering, Instrumentation Specification, installation and commissioning of Complex Control Systems. John continues to enhance the value of Automation to his customers in the Water and Wastewater, Food and Beverage, and the Nuclear Industries.
John was a Naval Nuclear Propulsion Supervisor and Operator. After excelling in this field, he was appointed as an instructor for the Naval Training Propulsion Unit for four years. He holds multiple certifications in the Rockwell Automation Arena, Schneider Automation, Intellution, Wonderware and Microsoft Technologies. He is a member of the Instrument Society of America (ISA).
