John Reinhart was named Chief Executive Officer, Maersk Line, Limited on August 1, 2000 and President in April, 2004. In 1991, John Reinhart joined Maersk Inc. in Human Resources. In 1992, he began his career in Universal Maritime Services (UMS), holding such positions as General Manager Maintenance and Repair, General Manager of Operations and, finally, President of UMS. In 1996, John returned to Maersk Inc. as a Regional Director and then as Senior Vice President. During this period, he was responsible for the commercial activities of the company, including sales, customer service and marketing for North America and served on a number of Boards. John has been a member of Maersk Line, Limited's Board of Directors since 1998. In 2000, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer and relocated to Virginia. Board of Directors Standard Steamship Owners' Protection and Indemnity Association (Bermuda) Limited Board of Directors Greater Norfolk Corporation Board of Directors Texas A&M University' Board of Visitors Town Point Club's Board of Governors in Norfolk He has received the following awards and honors: 2007 Admiral of the Ocean Sea Award Boy Scouts of America Maritime Good Scout Award Diocese of Newark's Archbishop's Labor and Business Recognition Award in 2002 Conference Chairman of the Propeller Club's 80th Annual International Conference and Convention in 2006 John received his B.A. in Political Science from Ohio University and completed the Executive MBA Program at the University of Michigan in 1997. John is married to Mary and they have a daughter and two sons.
