John Salazar is a director in the firm concentrating his legal practice in the field of intellectual property issues, especially in the areas of patents, trademarks, copyrights and computer law. His background in both the product development area and the computer industry makes him uniquely qualified to handle state-of-the-art intellectual property matters. Mr. Salazar�s engineering background includes software engineering and design, control theory, microcode development, electrical design and other hardware and software areas. Prior to entering law school, he worked several years for an international computer manufacturing corporation in the areas of product development, computer software engineering, hardware control and Space Shuttle software support for NASA. During engineering school, Mr. Salazar was actively involved in Tau Beta Pi National Engineering Society as well as the Association of Computing Machinery. During law school, he was employed in the legal department of a multi-national corporation working in the area of domestic and international patent prosecution. He continues that tradition at Middleton Reutlinger by prosecuting patent cases in the U.S. and internationally.
