Experience:
John F. (Jeff) Welborn specializes in serving as a mediator / arbitrator in oil and gas, mining and other natural resource disputes. He has extensive experience in domestic oil & gas law, in domestic and international mining law, in natural resource regulatory matters and in negotiating and drafting natural resource development agreements, financing arrangements, and conveyance documents. Mr. Welborn worked at the senior management level for a large international mining company (1997-2005). He served as a Commissioner (1982-1992) and Chairman (1987-1992) of the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, and as Chairman (1983) of the Mineral Law Section of the Colorado Bar Association. He has been an Adjunct Professor of oil & gas, natural resources and water law at the University of Denver College of Law, and he has taught in the natural resources area for continuing education seminars. |
