John G. Ryan is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in its Silicon Valley office. He is a member of the Firm's Tax Department, and concentrates his practice on tax planning and audit defense, especially in connection with international transactions and the development and use of intellectual property.
John has been a speaker at Tax Executives Institute meetings on topics including the research and foreign tax credits and has spoken at numerous professional conferences on such issues as international restructurings and transfer pricing. He has also taught courses on international and partnership issues for the LL.M. program at Golden Gate University.
He is a member of the California bar.
