John H. Irons joined the firm in 1990 and is a partner in the firm�s real estate department. Mr. Irons specializes in real estate acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures, financing, secured debt restructuring and workouts as well as other complex real estate-related matters.
The clients Mr. Irons has represented include: AIG Global Real Estate, AMB Property Corporation, American General Realty Advisors, Atherton-Newport Investments, LLC, Blackstone Realty Advisors, Colony Advisors, Inc., Countrywide Home Loans, Credit Suisse First Boston, Farallon Capital Management, L.L.C., Fujita Corporation USA, ING Barings, JMB Realty Corporation, Och-Ziff Real Estate, Playa Capital Company, Roland Corporation US, Secured Capital Corp. and Urban Shopping Centers, Inc.
Mr. Irons received his J.D. in 1987 from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Law. In 1984, he received his bachelor�s degree, magna cum laude, from UCLA, where he majored in philosophy and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
Mr. Irons was admitted to practice law in 1987 by the State Bar of California and the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. He has been a member of the real estate section of the State Bar of California since joining the firm.
