Colleen is a partner in the health law practice group. She focuses her practice on a variety of health law issues with an emphasis on litigation. Colleen served as law clerk to the Honorable Ralph A. Walker, North Carolina Court of Appeals.
Representative Matters
Represented health care providers in appeals against the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services and competing health care providers regarding Certificate of Need awards.
Represented clients in various litigation matters.
Successfully assisted various healthcare providers in appeals to obtain Certificates of Need for nursing home facility, hospice program, MRIs, linear accelerators, dialysis stations, and operating rooms.
Represented hospital system in appeal of suspension of privileges by physician.
Represented nursing home and adult care facility clients regarding issues of penalties and patient discharge.
Appealed and defended numerous decisions concerning healthcare providers at the North Carolina Court of Appeals and North Carolina Supreme Court.
