John I. Forry has focused on international taxation, finance and investment since 1969 and currently teaches in those areas in US and European law and business schools. He has been founding partner of a California boutique law firm focused on foreign investments in the US; senior partner of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP variously in charge of the firm's California offices and of its international section's Pacific Rim and Latin American practices, and a member of its firmwide Governing Board; partner with Ernst & Young LLP based in New York as initiator and first global leader of it's Project Finance group and as director of the firm's Foreign Legal Services Alliances; and international counsel with Withers Bergman LLP. Mr. Forry has served on the Advisory Group to the US Commissioner of Internal Revenue and on numerous bar-related committees and projects. He has authored or co-authored five books and over 40 articles on international taxation, finance, and investment. Bar Admissions: California (1970); New York (1998); District of Columbia (1998).
