John J. Haley is President and Chief Executive Officer of Watson Wyatt & Company, an international human resources benefits consulting firm headquartered in Washington, DC. Mr. Haley joined Watson Wyatt Worldwide in 1977. Mr. Haley was elected a Director of the firm in 1992. In 2001, Mr. Haley received the Marco Polo Award, the highest honor given to a foreign business leader by the U.S.-China Foundation for International Exchanges.
Mr. Haley is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a Fellow of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries, a member of the American Academy of Actuaries, and the International Actuarial Association. He has served as Chairman of the Society of Actuaries Committee on Guides to Professional Conduct. He has served on the Pension Committee of the Society of Actuaries and on the Technical Panel of Experts for President Clinton's Advisory Council on Social Security. From 1992 to 1998, Mr. Haley was one of the U.S. representatives on the Board for the International Association of Consulting Actuaries. He served as Vice Chairman of the International Association of Consulting Actuaries from 1996 to 1998. He is a member of the Board of Directors for Hudson Highland Group Inc., Maximus, Inc., and the Employee Benefit Research Institute.
Mr. Haley holds an A.B. in mathematics from Rutgers College, and received a Fellowship for two years of study at the Graduate School of Mathematics at Yale University. |
