John J. Huntz, Jr. serves as Managing Director for Fuqua Ventures where he is responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of direct private equity investments from funds provided by the Fuqua family. Mr. Huntz is the Chairman of the Board of Manhattan Associates, and currently serves on the Boards of GMP Companies, Proficient Systems and Pythagoras Participations. Mr. Huntz served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Fuqua Enterprises, Inc., a NYSE company. His prior positions include Managing Partner of Noble Ventures International, the U.S. venture capital division of a Dutch investment group, and Director of Capital Resources for Arthur Young & Company. Mr. Huntz was also one of four investment professionals at Harrison Capital, Inc., a venture capital investment subsidiary of Texaco, Inc. Mr. Huntz is President and a founder of the Atlanta Venture Forum, a widely recognized risk capital network in the Southeast. He currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the National Venture Capital Association and the Securities and Exchange Commission�s Executive Committee on Capital Formation. Mr. Huntz currently serves as Chairman of the Atlanta Botanical Garden and is a board member of Atlanta Charity Clays, Inc. He is past President of the Atlanta Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth, and also plays a lead role in other professional affiliations including the Technology Association of Georgia and the Entrepreneurs Foundation. Mr. Huntz received his BBA from Niagara University and received his MBA from Sacred Heart University. |
