John J. Nelson Jr., Chief Operating Officer, has a 35-year track record of leadership and achievement in both large and small companies in high and low technology industries. Nelson's experience encompasses 10 years in senior executive positions with Ford Aerospace and he has fulfilled President, Chief Executive and Financial responsibilities for several manufacturing companies with revenues over $25 million, including Stainless Steel Products (Burbank, CA), and Softub, Inc. (Chatsworth, CA), which was listed for three consecutive years on the Inc. 500's fastest growing companies. Noted as a hands-on leader who enjoys profitable growth and business improvement by energizing his people, John also has Fortune 100 achievements in turnaround management, planning, operations, government and commercial contract negotiations, project management, marketing and new business development. Nelson has been a member of advisory Boards of Directors for five companies, including a $200 million Japanese company with manufacturing facilities in California. He currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Mortgage Oil Corporation. Further, he serves as a resource speaker on "Corporate Growth and Improving Performance" and has spoken to over 50 management groups including over 600 CEOs. After graduating from Villanova University with a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Nelson was commissioned as an officer in the United States Marine Corps. He served as a combat jet pilot in Vietnam and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross. He received his M.B.A. from Pepperdine University. |
