Jack Shea received his B. S., Chemical Engineering from the University of Detroit. Mr. Shea is an experienced Chemical Engineer-Glass Technologist and has been associated with the glass industry for over 35 years.
Prior to coming with Toledo Engineering Co., Inc. (TECO), Mr. Shea worked for CertainTeed Products (formerly Gustin-Bacon), at their Kansas City fiber glass ("E" glass) plant. He served as a Senior Project Engineer, Superintendent of Furnace and Melting Technology, and as Assistant Plant Manager.
Mr. Shea has been employed by TECO since 1971 as a Project Engineer (1971-1980), Manager, Furnace Design (1980-1987), and Technical Director (1987-1994), and Vice President and Technical Director (1994-Present). Mr. Shea is responsible for coordinating, monitoring and advancing the Company's technical efforts. He is also involved in fuel fired and electric melting furnace designs, as well as development of new process concepts for optimizing furnace design parameters and furnace performance. During his tenure at TECO, Mr. Shea has pioneered the company's efforts in furnace modeling and has validated design parameters with operational information. |
