Mr. Armstrong brings to Genaera over thirty-nine years of executive responsibility in the pharmaceutical industry, with an operations emphasis. Most recently he was President of Genaera Corporation prior to being named CEO. He has previously served as CEO of Mills Biopharmaceuticals, a subsidiary of UroCor, Inc., and as Vice President of Business Development at UroCor. Mr. Armstrong was also President and Chief Operating Officer at Oread, Inc. Mr. Armstrong spent 1991 to 1998 with the Dupont Merck Pharmaceutical Company where he served in various executive positions, including as President of ENDO Laboratories, and President of the global manufacturing/quality division. Prior to that Mr. Armstrong served in numerous roles of increasing responsibility in manufacturing operations at Merck, Sharp and Dohme, Stuart Pharmaceuticals and Marion Merrell Dow. |
