John Anderson is counsel to the marketing communications community advertising, direct reponse marketing, media, design and corporate identity, market research, and public relations. Mr. Anderson is a prominent trial lawyer with more than 25 years of experience. He has argued to the U.S. Supreme Court in cases involving privacy and federal securities law, and has tried more thamn 45 jury trials involving a wide variety of civil disputes. In 1987, he was elected a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. As counsel to the advertising community, Mr. Anderson's clients range in size from large multinational corporations to small start-up agencies. He has served as legal advisor to Adweek Magazine and The Clio Awards, and is counsel to various trade organizations. Mr. Anderson has extensive experience with start-up advertising and new media agencies and has written on those subjects for various publications. In addition to the Bay Area, Mr. Anderson's practice includes work with agencies and individuals at established and start-up firms in New York and Los Angeles. Professional Activities - Mr. Anderson is a member of the State Bar of California and the American Bar Association, as well as the American College of Trial Lawyers. Anderson's volunteer work includes serving on the Board of Trustees for the University of California Press Foundation, where he was president from 2001 - 2004; the San Francisco Conservatory of Music's Board of Trustees, where he served as president from 1987 - 1990; the Sausalito Art Festival Foundation Board of Trustees; and as a counsel to San Francisco Ballet. |
