Mr. Mueller is a partner in the Business and Finance Department of Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP. He received his bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Purdue University and his Juris Doctor from Indiana University School of Law - Bloomington. His practice is concentrated on intellectual property procurement, protection, enforcement, licensing and infringement analysis. Mr. Mueller's experience in these matters extends to all facets of intellectual property law including patent, trademark, copyright and trade-secrets law. He has prepared and prosecuted patent applications on a wide variety of subjects including the following: medical/surgical devices; software and business methods; paper processes; chemical processes; consumer products; pumps and motors; automotive components; printer equipment; et al. Mr. Mueller has significant experience handling trademark infringement matters. Such experience includes the filing and prosecuting of Lanham Act, Uniform Dispute Resolution Policy and Anticybersquatting Consumer Protection Act actions. Mr. Mueller has counseled clients in many fields, but is particularly knowledgeable about the intellectual property issues facing companies involved in the manufacturing and sale of consumer products. Mr. Mueller currently sits on the Indiana University Law Alumni Board and, in addition to being registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, is admitted to practice in the State of Ohio, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. |
