John M. Tavis, VP, Director of Sales; 35 years old, received a BS in Agri-Business from Arizona State University, December 1993. Two years as a Sales Representative for Wallace Computer Services, concentrating on business to business information technology products such as business forms, bar code labels and bar code printers. Wallace Computer was John�s first exposure to the auto ID industry. After his two-year stint at Wallace Computer, John accepted a position as a Field Sales Engineer for Peak Technologies. John�s primary responsibility was the sale of auto ID data collection hardware and software. While at Peak, John consistently overachieved his revenue goals while selling all =the industry leading hardware products. John also became a Certified Sales Specialist for the following hardware manufacturers: Symbol Technologies, Intermec, Norand, Welch Allen and Percon, all highly regarded in the industry. In August 1997, John accepted the position of Regional Account Manager with Symbol Technologies, the leader in auto ID collection hardware industry. . While with Symbol, John was awarded Presidents Club honors for exceeding revenue goals in 6 successive quarters and became certified on all hardware platforms offered by the company. In March 1999, John became a Senior Sales Engineer for Bar Code Systems Integrators, Inc. While with BCSI, oh exceeded all revenue goals and was on pace to generate $1.5 million in hardware sales before deciding to become a principal at ID Solutions. John is a skilled sales person who values the relationship building aspects of the sales process and values innovation in his proposed solutions. |
