John P. Clancey has been a member of the UST Board of Directors since December 1997. He serves as chairman of the Nominating & Corporate Governance Committee and as a member of the Compensation and the Strategic Review Committees.
Mr. Clancey has served as chairman of Maersk Inc. since December 1999. He previously served as president and chief executive officer of Sea-Land Service, Inc., a unit of CSX Corporation, from 1991 to December 1999. Mr. Clancey held various sales and marketing positions with Sea-Land since joining the Company in 1970. From 1966 to 1969, he served as Captain in the United States Marine Corps.
Mr. Clancey graduated from Emporia State College in Kansas and completed the advanced management program at Harvard University. |
