John P. Hendrickson is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the Chicago office. As a member of the Firm�s Employee Benefits Department, John concentrates his practice on employee benefits and executive compensation.
John serves as counsel to several of the United States� largest corporations on all aspects of their employee benefit and executive compensation programs and regularly represents clients of all sizes. He has extensive experience in designing and implementing employee benefit plans and executive compensation programs in particular in the context of business transitions and representing his clients before the Internal Revenue Service, the Department of Labor and the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation.

Secured an IRS private letter ruling for a Fortune 100 company regarding the use of private grantor trusts to secure and fund supplement executive retirement benefits
John was named by The National Law Journal as one of the top employee benefits lawyers in the United States. John received his J.D. from University of Notre Dame Law School in 1980 and a B.S. in 1977 from South Dakota State University.
