John P. Leonard is a 1987 graduate of the College of St. Rose and of Syracuse University College of Law, where he was awarded a Juris Doctorate Degree in 1990. While in law school, Mr. Leonard served as the Executive Editor of the Syracuse Law Review and the Syracuse Legislative Research Journal. He also served as Executive Director of the Moot Court Board, and was elected to the Order of Barristers. He was the 1990 recipient of the Ralph E. Kharas award. Mr. Leonard is admitted to the bars of the State of New Jersey and United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
Mr. Leonard joined the firm in 1999 and has extensive trial and appellate experience. Mr. Leonard practices in the areas of complex commercial and corporate litigation, contract disputes, corporate and partnership dissolutions, white collar criminal investigations and corporate compliance, emergent applications and injunctions, partnership and shareholder disputes, health care law, securities litigation and employment matters. Mr. Leonard has also advised clients on general corporate matters and corporate governance and represented employers in actions involving discrimination claims, wrongful termination and sexual harassment. Additionally, Mr. Leonard has represented clients in complex litigations, as well as multi-district litigations and class actions, in various jurisdictions throughout the country. |
