John P. Beyel is a magna cum laude graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo and a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He is a cum laude graduate of Syracuse University College of Law, where he served as Assistant Editor of the Syracuse University Law Review. Mr. Beyel is admitted to the bars of New Jersey and New York, the bars of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, Southern District of New York, and Eastern District of New York, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. From 1975 to 1976, he served as Law Clerk to The Honorable Arthur C. Dwyer, Superior Court of New Jersey, Essex County.
Mr. Beyel has extensive experience in the litigation of environmental disputes in both state and federal courts. These matters include cost recovery and contribution actions brought under CERCLA and the New Jersey Spill Compensation and Control Act by governmental agencies or private parties. He is also experienced in compliance and permitting matters. Mr. Beyel has served on an ABA panel discussing environmental litigation and has lead client oriented seminars on emerging remediation technologies. He is also a member of the Board of Consultors to the Real Property Probate and Trust Law section of the New Jersey Bar Association and Chair of the Trust and Estates section of the Morris County Bar Association. |
