After graduating from Drake University in 1961, Mr. Dedrick started his career with West Bend Mutual Insurance Company and has been with them ever since. He was a Special Agent for West Bend Mutual from 1962 to 1973 while living in Wisconsin then later in Illinois. Mr. Dedrick became a Sales Manager for West Bend Mutual in 1974 while living in Illinois. After several years, Dedrick took the Underwriting Coordinator position at the West Bend Home Office in Wisconsin.In 1980, Mr. Dedrick assumed the role of Vice President of Underwriting for the company and by 1982 was the VP of Administration. At the end of 1982, Mr. Dedrick was promoted to President and CEO of West Bend Mutual and went on to become the Chairman 18 years later. In 2002, Mr. Dedrick relinquished his role as CEO and now holds the title of Chairman of West Bend Mutual.Mr. Dedrick is on the Board of Directors for UW Athletics Advisory Council, West Bend Memorial Foundation, West Bend Urban Redevelopment Corporation and the Medical College of Wisconsin Digestive Disease Center. He is also on the advisory board of Ozaukee Washington County Land Trust and West Bend Boys and Girls Club. |
