John (Jack) R. Orrick, Jr. is a Partner in the Business Transactions Group of the firm. Mr. Orrick concentrates in general corporate law, with emphasis on business acquisitions and sales, business financings and other business transactions. He has represented numerous clients in public and private securities offerings and has extensive experience representing a wide variety of corporate and individual clients, including financial institutions, in diverse commercial transactions. Mr. Orrick has represented various public corporations in connection with their periodic reporting obligations with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Mr. Orrick also has represented clients in municipal bond offerings and other complex real estate financing transactions. Mr. Orrick has lectured and written articles on a variety of deal structuring and financing issues, with particular emphasis on matters affecting the real estate industry and matters affecting emerging businesses. He is the editor of the firm's periodic newsletter, The Business Advisor. Mr. Orrick's practice at the firm centers on general corporate matters, business and tax planning and the representation of clients in securitized equity and debt financings.
