John Hamlin serves as senior vice president for Dell's Global Online Business and Global Brand Marketing. In this role, Mr. Hamlin is responsible for Dell's worldwide eBusiness including online sales, service, technology and content development as well as Dell's worldwide brand and advertising strategy.
Previously, Mr. Hamlin served as senior vice president of Dell's U.S. consumer business from 2000 through 2005. Under his leadership, Dell achieved the No. 1 position in this market. From 1998 to 2000, Mr. Hamlin served as vice president of Dell's Home and Small Business division in Japan and managed Dell's Preferred Accounts segment in Japan.
Mr. Hamlin joined Dell in March 1996 and held marketing and operations positions in the U.S. Home and Small Business division before moving to Japan. Prior to joining Dell, Mr. Hamlin worked in the venture capital field for three years and served as a strategic consultant at Bain & Company for six years.
Mr. Hamlin is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Dartmouth College and holds a master's degree in business administration from Harvard Business School. He serves on the board of directors of Dell Financial Services. |
