Mr. Lutz represents corporations, their officers and directors in complex commercial and securities litigation, arbitrations, mediations and grand jury investigations including among others, matters alleging securities fraud and tax fraud. He also provides advice and defense to financial institutions in regulatory matters and proceedings. He has over 35 years of legal experience and an extensive background of distinguished employment and service in both the public and private sectors. He served as trial attorney with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Denver Regional Office from 1971 through 1974. He also headed a securities prosecution unit of the Joint Manhattan Strike Force for the U.S. Department of Justice, Organized Crime and Racketeering Section from 1974 through early 1977. Among his private sector experiences is his service as the general counsel of Boettcher & Company, a New York Stock Exchange member broker-dealer firm formerly based in Denver, and as a banker with the Irving Trust in New York City.
