John T. Conway brings more that 24 years of nuclear experience to his job as Site Vice President at the Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant in Monticello, Minn.
John came to Nuclear Management Company (NMC) in April 2004 from Constellation Energy Group and Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation at Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station, Oswego, N.Y. His most recent position at Nine Mile was vice president.
Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant
Besides serving as vice president at Nine Mile, John held several other key leadership positions there, including vice president of nuclear engineering, plant manager, manager of operations, technical support manager, power ascension manager and reactor engineering supervisor. In addition, while at Nine Mile, John held senior reactor operator licenses for Unit 1, a 600-megawatt boiling water reactor-2 (BWR-2), and for Unit 2, a 1,200-megawatt BWR-5.
At Monticello, John�s leadership has helped the plant achieve rapid improvements in performance.
A native of upstate New York, John has a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Rochester in that state. |
