John W. Burns is a shareholder of Dickie, McCamey & Chilcote, P.C. He concentrates his practice in the areas of Transportation/Trucking Litigation, High Technology, and General Liability, with a particular emphasis in Health Care Law, Captive Formation and Management, and Bankruptcy/Workout. Mr. Burns is a member of the Allegheny County and West Virginia Bar Associations. He is admitted to practice before the Supreme Courts of Pennsylvania and West Virginia, the United States District Courts for the Western and Eastern Districts of Pennsylvania, the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of West Virginia, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. He is also a member of the Transportation Lawyers Association. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Burns served as a clerk in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. Mr. Burns graduated from West Liberty State College in 1991 with a B.A. in Health and Math Education. He received his J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law in 1999. Mr. Burns has also served as an instructor at the Academy of Court Reporting in Pittsburgh where he has taught courses to students in the Academy's paralegal, court reporting, and security/investigation programs. |
