John W. Cannavino graduated, Phi Beta Kappa, from the State University of New York at Binghamton (Harpur College) in 1973. He attended Syracuse College of Law, graduating, summa cum laude, in 1977. While at Syracuse College, he was elected to the Order of the Coif and the Justinian Honorary Law Society. John has been a member of the firm's Trial Group since 1978 and became a principal in 1985. He has extensive experience in complex commercial litigation, including securities litigation, insurance coverage disputes, corporate and partnership dissolutions, merger litigation, contract disputes, real estate litigation, restrictive covenant and trade secrets litigation, and intellectual property litigation.John is a member of the Connecticut and Stamford/Norwalk Regional Bar Association and the Inns of Court. He serves as a Special Master for the United States District Court and as fact finder and arbitrator for the Connecticut Superior Court. John is also a National Institute for Trial Advocacy faculty member. |
