Mr. Johnston was previously with Eastco Capital Management, where he raised investment capital for several small corporations, in which he then took an active management role. These companies included Memry Corp. (Exec. V.P.) and the AIM Group (Executive Vice President & Director). Mr. Johnston previously spent over 20 years in the metals and mining business, including affiliations with Royal Dutch Shell Group. He was Executive Vice President & Director of Billiton Metals & Ores; Vice President of Metals Marketing, Falconbridge International, Hamilton, Bermuda; Vice President of Metals Marketing, Director of Western Platinum Mines, Johannesburg, RSA; Director, Falconbridge Europe, Brussels, Belgium; Vice President & General Manager of Consolidated Minerals, New York. He also held positions at AMAX, Inc. and J. Aron & Co. Mr. Johnston has extensive business experience in Europe, North America, and Africa. Affiliations and interests: Mr. Johnston previously was an outside Director of Synalloy Corp, Spartanburg, SC (NASDAQ) 1988-1991 and of Molycorp Inc., New York, NY (NYSE) 1973-1977.
