Mr. McGlynn practices in the firm's Trademark Center located in the Wilmington office. Since 1998, Mr. McGlynn has counseled and assisted clients in connection with all aspects of domestic and international trademark prosecution and use including clearance, registration, enforcement, transfer and licensing of trademarks. More specifically, Mr. McGlynn has helped clients acquire, protect and benefit from trademark rights through: Prosecution of trademark applications and maintenance of registrations before the United States Patent & Trademark Office; Commencement of oppositions, cancellations and appeals before the United States Patent & Trademark Office Trademark Trial & Appeal Board; Recordation of registered trademarks with the United States Customs and Border Protection branch of the United States Department of Homeland Security and correspondence with customs agents regarding the targeting, interception, detainment, seizure and forfeiture of trademark infringing goods; Commencement and management of domain name disputes under the Internet Corporation of Assigned Names and Numbers' Uniform Dispute Resolution Policy; Representation in intellectual property infringement suits in United States federal courts; Management of prosecution of trademark applications and intellectual property disputes abroad; Investigation into trademark availability and use, and opining regarding the results; Design and implementation of strategies for monitoring potentially infringing use of marks; Preparation and negotiation of intellectual property assignment, licensing, and coexistence agreements; and Due diligence investigations into validity and ownership of marks. Mr. McGlynn has served clients ranging from individuals to Fortune 100 companies and conducting business in many industries, including retail, high-tech, consumer goods, pharmaceutical, financial and publishing industries, to name a few. Prior to joining RatnerPrestia, Mr. McGlynn was an associate in the New York office of an international intellectual property law firm with an over ninety-year history of providing intellectual property related legal services.
