Mr. Littlechild is a General Partner, HealthCare Ventures LLC and has extensive experience in the venture capital industry. Before joining HealthCare Ventures in 1992, he was involved in establishing the Advent Venture capital company in the UK and was a founder of Advent International Corporation in Boston in 1984. In the nine years he was with the Advent Group, he was involved in many international venture deals. In addition to his international activities, Mr. Littlechild established and managed the U.S. health care investment activities of Advent International, which included investing in early stage biopharmaceutical companies including Genzyme, where he was a member of the Board. Prior to his involvement in the Advent Group, he worked with Citicorp Venture Capital in London and worked in marketing and financial management with Rank Xerox and ICI. Mr. Littlechild serves on the Boards for the Harvard Medical School including the Executive Committee of the Board of Fellows, the Science & Technology Committee, and is Chairman of the Microbiology Department Advisory Board. He is also a member of the Board of Visitors of the Beth Israel Deaconess Center for Research and Education, and the Advisory Board of the Department of Microbiology of Harvard Medical School.
