Mr. Medbury joined the Firm in 2000 and manages the administrative departments for the Firm. He is responsible for formulating and implementing major firm strategies and policies in the areas of human resources, finance, facilities, information systems, marketing, and general operations. He has a wealth of management experience from his previous employers and is a member of the Firm's Management Committee.
Mr. Medbury has over 30 years experience managing professional organizations. Prior to joining Bowditch & Dewey in 2000, he was the Administrative Director of Hamilton, Brook, Smith & Reynolds, a patent law firm in Lexington.
Mr. Medbury holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from the University of Denver and a Master of Science degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He is a member of St. Vincent Hospital's Board of Trustees and serves on the Peer Review Committee; Corporator and member of the Board for The Memorial Foundation for the Blind; Treasurer of Employers Against Domestic Violence; Chairman of the Audit Committee of WICN Public Radio; member of the Central Massachusetts Financial Executives Organization; member of the Association of Legal Administrators; Co-Chair of the Leaders Circle for the 2007-2008 United Way Campaign; member of the Board and Treasurer of Junior Achievement; past President of the Advocacy Center for Children; past Chairman for Worcester's Alliance for Education; and an adjunct faculty member at Anna Maria College in Paxton. In October 2007, Mr. Medbury was a recipient of the Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly Unsung Heroes Award in the category of Firm Administrator of the Year. He was also recognized by the YWCA's Daybreak Resources for Women & Children as a "Great Guy" in June 2006 for efforts in fighting domestic violence. Mr. Medbury resides in Worcester with his wife, Linda Cavaioli, the Executive Director of the Worcester YWCA.
