John joined Tourtellotte Solutions in 2003 following 13 years in the IT industry. Early in his career, John Block spent 9 years developing technology solutions within IDG. This work focused on designing and implementing database systems for market research and mindshare analysis. After 7 years with IDG, Block was granted a year sabbatical to work in Zambia, Africa for Harvard Institute, a non-profit NGO. Following Zambia, John returned to IDG for another 2 years. At IDG, he eventually rose to Vice President, Information Technology in ComputerWorld's Database Division, directing a staff of full-time developers and business analysts. Subsequent to his career at IDG, John served as a Consultant to other Harvard Projects (Malawi) and also to a number of entrepreneurial startups.



John graduated from Boston Univ. and also Bentley College with degrees in Finance and MIS.
