As the EES Senior Vice President of Operations,
John Cavallini is responsible for leading the EES Business Development, Program Management and Quality Assurance Offices with a basic goal of ensuring that EES delivers high quality services and products for high customer satisfaction. John started in Information Technology while attending Wilkes College by working as a summer intern at the Patuxent River Naval Air Test Center where he first used high performance computers in learning how to perform computer simulations for Naval Air Applications. John has over 30 years of varied federal and private sector experience including 17 years at the Department of Energy where he served as the Division Director for Math, Information, and Computational Sciences research in the DOE Office of Science. John also has an extensive background in program management, including the management of large complex information technology and telecommunications programs. Prior to joining EES, John served as Vice President for Enterprise Solutions with 1 Source Consulting, Inc. (1 Source Consulting), where he helped to capture the A-76 contract for the EES Joint Venture between 1 Source Consulting and RS Information Systems. John also worked as a Director for Business Development for RSIS. John has managed several technical groups supporting the Department of Energy Office of Environmental Management, National Nuclear Security Administrations, and Office of Science Programs, providing a broad range of information technology services, including strategic planning and information architecture, systems development and maintenance, network engineering and operations, and customer support. John was appointed by the National Performance Review to serve on the Federal Government Information Technology Services (GITS) Board. He has served on the National Science and Technology Council HPPCC Subcommittee, the Federal Networking Council, and the GSA Interagency Management Council for FTS. He holds a Master of Science in computer science and electrical engineering from the George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics from Wilkes College. John was also awarded a prestigious Federal 100 Award for his contributions to the GITS Board. John enjoys sports, country music, and beach vacations. He has coached youth soccer for over 10 years. John and his wife Claudia have one son. |
