John Deushane began his broadcast career in 1976 at WEEK-TV in Peoria, Illinois. At that time the station was owned by Kansas City Southern Industries and later Price Communications. Mr. Deushane moved up at the station serving at various times as Producer/Director, Production Manager, Executive Producer, Local Sales Manager and General Sales Manager. In 1987 Mr. Deushane was transferred by Price Communications to serve as its Vice President and General Manager at KRCG-TV in Columbia/Jefferson City, Missouri. He then rejoined WEEK-TV in 1991 after Granite Broadcasting Corporation purchased the station and served both as Director of Sales and President and General Manager. He continued his meteoric rise with the company as Granite�s President and General Manager at KSEE-TV in Fresno in 1997 and was promoted to Senior Vice President/Midwest in 1998. His current position of Chief Operating Officer of Granite Broadcasting Corporation became effective January, 2003.
Mr. Deushane has held several board positions with industry, charitable and local community associations throughout his career and currently sits on the TVB SAC Committee.
Mr. Deushane graduated Magna Cum Laude from Bradley University with Bachelor of Science degrees in both Broadcast Management and Journalism. |
