Dr. Dietrich is both a Hand Surgeon and the Chairman of Quality Assurance at the Crystal Clinic Summit Hand Center in Akron, OH. He is also an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the Northeastern Ohio University College of Medicine, an Adjunct Professor in the Institute for Biomedical Engineering Research at the University of Akron and holds staff appointments at six local hospitals. Dr. Dietrich obtained his Medical Degree from the University of Michigan in 1978 and went on to residencies in General Surgery at William Beaumont Hospital in Michigan and in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh. In 1989, he completed his one year fellowship in Hand, Upper Extremity and Microsurgery at Allegheny General Hospital, also at the University of Pittsburgh. He is credited with over 80 publications and presentations covering a wide variety of complex topics in the reconstructive surgery of the Hand and Upper Extremities. |
