John directs Bowen Advisors' communications technology practice and oversees marketing activities for the firm. Prior to Bowen Advisors, he served as Vice President of Corporate Development at Cantata Technology, responsible for Cantata's acquisition and strategic partnership activity. John was instrumental in the privatization of Brooktrout Technology and the subsequent merger with Excel Switching. Prior to joining Cantata, he was Vice President of Business Development at SnowShore Networks, a venture-backed Voice-over-IP media server vendor purchased by Brooktrout Technology in 2004.
Earlier in his career, John held senior-level marketing and corporate development positions at NMS Communications and Lotus Development Corp. He started his professional career as an investment banker with PaineWebber. John received a bachelor's degree from Trinity College in Hartford, Conn., and an MBA from Columbia Business School. He is qualified as a general securities representative and holds Series 7 and 63 licenses.
