John joined Meritage from private law practice with the firms of Kirkland & Ellis and Brownstein Hyatt & Farber, where he specialized in mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, public and private offerings of securities, commercial finance, and securities law compliance. As a practicing attorney, his clientele consisted primarily of private equity and venture capital funds, merchant banking firms, and other private investors. John serves on the boards of directors of Xspedius and Exabyte, both Meritage portfolio companies. He received an undergraduate degree from Florida State University and a law degree from Georgetown University. |
