John Garvey, President, is a CPA. He has testified or directed complex litigation matters regarding fraud and forensic accounting, securities fraud, accounting irregularities, merger and acquisition disputes, derivative disputes, professional liability, bankruptcy and solvency, business valuation and general damages issues. Mr. Garvey has also assisted counsel in many high profile board directed investigations of allegations of fraud and accounting irregularities. He has previously been a partner with Arthur Andersen where he managed the Business Fraud and Investigation Services practice in the Midwest and also with Deloitte & Touche. He has appeared as an expert in Delaware Chancery Court, Bankruptcy Court, State and Federal Courts and in various administrative forums. Mr. Garvey has also served as an independent arbitrator. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, The Illinois CPA Society and The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. He holds an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago and a B.S. in accounting from Western Illinois University where he received the 2001 Outstanding Alumni Award from the Department of Accountancy. |
