John Gates is President & Chief Operating Officer of The Staubach Company. He also chairs the company s Operating and Executive Committees and oversees the firm s North American operations. In this role he also provides strategic direction for all business units and has oversight responsibility for Staubach s national industrial platform and its global corporate services business. John, in a separate role as President of Staubach Corporate Services West, assists the western region in developing strategic business priorities. For over five years John was President of the Southwest Corporate Services Division where the business increased in size by approximately 75% under his leadership. Along with serving as Southwest Corporate Services President, he was Executive Vice President for the company with oversight responsibility for a major portion of the company's Corporate Services operations along with all of the Company's Industrial business. During this time, he led the effort to restructure the bulk of the Company's West Coast operations. Prior to moving into management in 2002, John was a long time "top achiever" in the company and has been consistently recognized by the DALLAS BUSINESS JOURNAL as one of the top five office brokers in the Dallas area. Among many real estate industry-related awards John has won the JOURNAL s Best Office Deal and received numerous other nominations. For MCI WorldCom, a longtime client, John won the Outstanding Vendor Service Award. He was recently honored as the Rising Leader for 2007 in the Annual Executives of the Year Awards by Commercial Property News. John received his MBA with a concentration in finance from the University of Texas at Austin and his B. S. in Business and Economics from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. He is currently the Chair for the Jesuit College Preparatory Foundation and has served on the Ursuline Academy Board, was Chair of Camp Summit, and has been active in the local community and church activities. John also serves on the Board of Directors for the Dallas Real Estate Council. |
